Flexible Connection Between Rigid Pipe Sections
Rubber coupling for plumbing is a flexible connection component installed between rigid pipe sections. It normally consists of an elastic rubber body, reinforcing layers, and flange or other end-connection structures.
The elasticity of the rubber can absorb part of the vibration generated by connected equipment. Within the applicable structural range, the coupling can also accommodate axial, lateral, and angular movement while helping reduce stress between rigid pipe sections and part of the vibration transmitted through the piping structure.
Common nominal diameters range from DN25 to DN1200, with customized sizes also available. Common working pressure options include PN10 and PN16. However, the actual pressure rating needs to be confirmed according to product diameter, rubber structure, reinforcing layer, operating temperature, and any required control device.
Material Selection According to the Piping Medium
Available rubber materials include EPDM, NBR, NR, and chloroprene rubber. Flanges can be made from carbon steel, stainless steel, or galvanized steel.
Connection forms include flanged, threaded, and clamped configurations. Because different rubber materials have different suitability for water, air, oil, and certain chemical media, buyers should consider the actual medium rather than selecting the product only by nominal pipe size.
A rubber coupling for plumbing can be used in HVAC systems, circulating water systems, pump rooms, water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment, power plants, industrial cooling systems, heat exchange systems, and general process pipelines.
It is particularly relevant around pumps, fans, and similar equipment where reducing vibration transmission through rigid pipework is an important installation consideration.
Specification Confirmation Before Production
Zhuori Metal supplies metal and related supporting products for construction, mechanical and electrical installation, and industrial applications.
For rubber pipe couplings, production can be organized according to the purchaser's required diameter, connection type, and structural details. Customer technical drawings or prototypes can be used to confirm interface dimensions, flange structure, and corresponding material requirements.
Production, quality inspection, and customer service functions are organized to connect product specification confirmation with manufacturing and finished-product checking. This is especially useful for project orders involving non-standard dimensions or several connection configurations.
Samples, Inspection, and After-Sales Support
Samples can be supplied before mass production. Custom sample development normally takes about one week, and small quantities can be provided.
OEM, ODM, and drawing-based production are supported. Products are fully inspected before packing, and third-party inspection is accepted. Photo or video progress updates can also be supplied during production.
Standard products generally require about 15 days for manufacturing, while customized products normally require around one month.
If transportation damage is identified after arrival, replacement support can be arranged and handled by dedicated after-sales personnel. These arrangements help buyers confirm material, interface, and pressure-related requirements before ordering a rubber coupling for plumbing in larger quantities.
