Seismic Restraint System for Different Pipe Sizes

 

Seismic supports for piping are used to provide seismic restraint for water supply and drainage pipes, fire protection piping, HVAC piping, and industrial process piping.

Rather than being a single component, the system is assembled from support channels, connectors, pipe clamps, diagonal braces, threaded rods, bases, and anchoring components. These parts work together to limit excessive transverse movement, longitudinal displacement, or a combination of both under seismic action.

Common support channel sizes include 41 × 21, 41 × 41, and 41 × 62 mm. Available threaded rod sizes include M10, M12, M16, and M20. The system can typically be configured for pipe sizes from approximately DN25 to DN600, with other arrangements available according to project requirements.

Configuration Based on Pipe Layout and Installation Position

 

Different pipe diameters, elevations, and installation spaces require different support arrangements. For this reason, Seismic supports for piping should be selected according to the actual piping layout rather than using one standard configuration for every installation point.

The support system can be arranged as transverse, longitudinal, or combined seismic bracing. Pipe clamps and modular connection components can be selected according to the pipe diameter, while channels and diagonal members form the main restraint structure.

Available materials include carbon steel, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. Surface options include electro-galvanizing, pre-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, and coating.

Applications include fire sprinkler piping, water supply and drainage systems, HVAC water piping, industrial process pipelines, hospitals, airports, rail transit facilities, data centers, and industrial plants.

Drawing-Based Component Matching

 

For a seismic piping support system, purchasing individual channel or rod sizes is only part of the requirement. The components also need to correspond with the pipe size and installation node shown in the project drawings.

Support length, base configuration, brace structure, and anchoring method can be adjusted according to the project node. Production and quality personnel work together to check order specifications so that different parts can be organized as a coordinated set.

Mixed Specifications for One Project

 

OEM and ODM services are supported, and products can be manufactured according to technical drawings. Samples can be arranged before mass production, with custom sample development normally taking about one week.

Multiple specifications can be combined within one order. This is useful where the same building contains several pipe diameters and different installation positions.

A 100% inspection is performed before packing, and third-party inspection is accepted. Production photos or videos can also be provided.

For later pipe additions or phased construction, repeat orders can use existing confirmed product information, which may shorten the delivery cycle for previously supplied Seismic supports for piping.
