Restraint for Lateral Movement of MEP Systems
Seismic sway bracing is designed to limit excessive lateral movement of piping, cable trays, ducts, and suspended equipment systems. Unlike an ordinary hanger that mainly supports static weight, this product focuses more on controlling side movement and sway of the supported system.
The bracing arrangement can use rigid diagonal members, wire-rope braces, or a combination of both. Common threaded rod sizes range from M10 to M20, while channel sections can include 41 × 21 mm, 41 × 41 mm, and other project-specific sizes.
The system can be configured for transverse, longitudinal, or four-direction restraint according to the installation position and required movement-control direction. Galvanized steel and stainless steel are available as material options.
Flexible Configuration for New and Existing Installations
Different installation areas may require different brace directions, lengths, and anchoring positions. For this reason, seismic sway bracing is normally configured around the actual supported system and available site space rather than supplied as one universal assembly.
Applications include mechanical and electrical piping, fire protection systems, ductwork, electrical routes, suspended equipment, industrial utility corridors, hospitals, airports, rail transit facilities, and building MEP renovation projects.
For renovation work, the support arrangement can be developed according to existing hangers and pipeline conditions. This allows the restraint structure to be added while reducing unnecessary changes to the original MEP layout.
Rigid braces can provide a clear mechanical restraint path, while wire-rope arrangements can offer different layout options where space conditions vary. The final configuration should follow the actual project structure and design requirements.
Manufacturing from Installation Node Drawings
Langfang Zhuori Metal Products Co., Ltd. manufactures building metal accessories, MEP installation components, and related hardware products. Its production process covers raw material purchasing, forming, welding, assembly, and finished-product inspection.
For customized seismic sway bracing, the company can manufacture components according to installation node drawings, dimensions, or customer prototypes. Brace direction, brace type, length, connection components, channels, and anchoring structures can all be included in the production requirements.
The company has an R&D team, while production, quality inspection, sales, and customer service personnel coordinate customized orders. Components for different installation nodes can be classified and checked separately before delivery.
Samples, Mixed Orders, and Repeat Purchasing
OEM and ODM production is supported, including manufacturing from technical drawings. Samples can be supplied before mass production, with custom sample development normally taking about one week.
Small sample quantities are available, and different models or specifications can be combined within the same order. A 100% inspection is carried out before packing, and third-party inspection is accepted.
Photo or video production updates can also be provided when required. Standard products normally require about 15 days for production, while customized products generally require about one month. For repeat orders using previously confirmed specifications, the lead time can be shortened, supporting phased construction and later additions of product.
