A Steel Forming Surface for Cast-in-Place Floor Slabs
Steel formwork for concrete slab is mainly used for cast-in-place reinforced concrete floor construction. It can work together with beams, props, supporting frames, and other components to form a complete slab formwork system.
The steel panel provides a stable forming surface during concrete placement and helps control slab thickness and surface flatness. Typical steel plate thickness ranges from 1.5 to 3.0 mm. Standard widths are 300–1200 mm, while standard lengths are 900–1800 mm. Customized dimensions can also be produced according to project requirements.
Material options include Q235, Q355, or equivalent structural steel. Surface treatments can include painting, galvanizing, or anti-corrosion coatings.
Matching Panel Layout with the Supporting System
Unlike wall formwork, which mainly needs to manage concrete lateral pressure, floor slab formwork places greater emphasis on panel layout, support spacing, and surface flatness.
Regular steel panels can be arranged in modules according to the floor plan. Applications include residential slabs, commercial buildings, basement roof slabs, parking structures, industrial plants, equipment platforms, and public buildings.
After repeated use, the steel forming surface can be cleaned of residual concrete and prepared for further circulation. Panels may also be used together with steel props, early-stripping systems, or supporting frames. For slabs with different spans or thicknesses, the panel dimensions and reinforcing structure can be adjusted so the formwork remains compatible with the actual support arrangement.
This makes steel formwork for concrete slab particularly relevant to projects where the formwork dimensions and supporting layout need to be considered together.
Manufacturing Based on Slab Dimensions and Construction Method
Zhuori Metal has established production stages covering raw material purchasing, forming, welding, assembly, and finished-product inspection. For concrete slab formwork orders, manufacturing can be organized according to the building module, slab span, support spacing, and construction method.
Quality checks focus on steel plate thickness, panel flatness, edge-frame dimensions, weld quality, and connection-hole accuracy. The company operates approximately 8,500 m² of production facilities with a team of around 40 people and can handle both standard and non-standard specifications.
Customer technical drawings can be used as the basis for manufacturing, allowing dimensions and connection details to be coordinated with the planned slab construction system.
Sample Confirmation and Batch Management
Where a project needs to verify panel layout dimensions or connection methods first, samples can be arranged before mass production. OEM and ODM services are supported, and different colors or models may be included within one order.
Standard products normally require about 15 days for production, while customized products generally require about one month. Repeat orders may be completed faster because the previously confirmed specifications and production information are already available.
A 100% inspection is completed before packing. Products can then be arranged on pallets, packed in cases, or wrapped for shipment. This also helps separate different sizes and production batches, making steel formwork for concrete slab easier to identify, transport, and manage after delivery to the construction site.
